About Dr. Amy Lichtenfeld

Dr. Lichtenfeld is a board-certified internist and allergist-immunologist. She has been practicing in Manhattan since 1990. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980 then graduated in 1984 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her residency program in Internal Medicine at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and completed her fellowship training in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at the prestigious New York Hospital on Manhattan's upper east side.
Dr. Lichtenfeld has maintained hospital privileges at both Lenox Hill Hospital and The New York Hospital. Dr. Lichtenfeld is a fellow in and a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She serves on the Executive Committee of the New York Allergy and Asthma Society. She is also in good standing with the New York County Medical Society and the Medical Society of the State of New York. She is an Assistant Attending Physician at The New York Hospital and is an Adjunct Attending Physician at Lenox Hill Hospital. She is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Cornell University Medical College.
Dr. Lichtenfeld is an active participant in the training of medical students, residents and fellows. She speaks locally on various medical topics within her specialty. Her area of expertise is in the treatment of all allergic disorders including allergic rhinitis (hayfever), asthma, eczema (atopic dermatitis), food allergies, hives, allergic reactions, sinusitis, and drug allergies. She maintains a full internal medicine practice as well.
