Dr. Daniel M. Sciubba, MD

Dr. Sciubba is a leader in neurosurgery, and specifically focuses on spine care. He treats conditions such as tumors deformites, scoliosis, kyphosis and spondylolisthesis. His approach is to be as minimally invasive as possible, but as far-reaching as necessary. He has been noted for his expertise in complex en bloc surgery, in which a tumor is removed in its entirety in order to reduce the risk of cancer spread. This includes cases where the tumor is wrapped around or otherwise involved in another organ or tissue, such as the spinal cord or aorta.

Dr. Sciubba is also committed to teaching the next generation of neurosurgeons He engages residents and fellows in an atmosphere of shared exploration. Currently, he is Vice President of neurosurgery at Northwell Health, Chair of Neurosurgery at North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Co-Director of the Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Northwell Health and Chair of Neurosciences at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
