About Dr. Darwin Chen
Professional Statement
Dr. Chen specializes in joint replacement surgery (Hip/Knee) and hip preservation, and has a key interest in hip/knee replacement, minimally invasive surgery, as well as complex and revision arthroplasty. He performs innovative procedures such as direct anterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement, and robotic-assisted surgery, amongst other leading procedures.
Currently, Dr. Chen is Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, in the Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopedics. Academically, Dr. Chen is part of the core teaching faculty at Mount Sinai, and regularly lectures and teaches at the orthopedic residency program.
