NYU Winthrop Hospital, formerly known as Winthrop-University Hospital, is a 591-bed medical center located in Mineola. We are home to Nassau County’s only adult Level 1 Trauma Center certified by the American College of Surgeons with full adult and pediatric capabilities. Our trauma center team, part of NYU Winthrop Hospital’s Department of Emergency Medicine, provides advanced care to adults and children who have serious or life-threatening injuries.
