About Dr. Michael J. Bronson
Professional Statement
Dr. Bronson specializes in hip, knee, arthroscopic and total joint replacement. He is best known for having developed a procdure called Vision Total Hip, a widely used total hip replacement system over the last 10 years. This procdure avoids the use of cement in all age groups, substantially prolonging the lifespan of the replacement, even in young, active and athletic patients.
Currently Dr. Bronson is Chairman of Orthopaedics at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai St. Luke's. He also has done extensive work in developing new surgical instruments for minimally invasive unicondylar partial knee replacement which has revolutionized the treatment of knee arthritis in the 30 percent to 40 percent of patients whose knee arthritis involves only a part of their knee.
