Dr. Paul Knoepflmacher received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey: New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, where he was honored for overall excellence in patient care. He completed an internship and residency in the Department of Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, during which time he received the prestigious Richard Gorlin award for resident humanitarianism.
After receiving his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Dr. Paul Knoepflmacher spent three years in Costa Rica in the United States Peace Corps.
